Congratulations to Dr. Luke Mattar, a post-doctoral associate in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Mattar has been awarded a 2024 ORS NIRA (Orthopaedic Research Society - New Investigator Recognition Award). Dr. Mattar's work is centered around predicting the outcome of exercise therapy for the treatment of rotator cuff tears, utilizing in vivo kinematic analyses and various other parameters.
NIRA candidates must have completed a residency and not have more than 5 years of active research experience. NIRA finalists are chosen to present at the Annual Meeting, which was held this year in Long Beach, CA. Congratulations to Dr. Mattar and all NIRA awardees.
